Can I just say that this week is kicking my butt? Anyone out there with me? Sometimes it is just refreshing to hear another mom say, “Yeah, I get it” or “I’m with ya this week”. Luckily, I was able to chat with several moms yesterday who assured me I’m not alone. I’m reminding myself today that this is a moment in time. A moment that like all other moments will pass. It’s a bad day not a bad life. I think we all need that reminder from time to time.
I want to be sure that you get a real life picture here. I don’t ever want to fall into the trap of creating a social media persona that all is right in my world or that I don’t have bad days because we all do. It is just part of life. And when those days come I encourage you to push through, keep things in perspective and remember that this too shall pass. So if you are having one of THOSE weeks, keep your head up! Tomorrow is a new day!
The past two days have been full of running around. School drop off, school pickup #1, errands, school pickup #2, dance practice, soccer practice, the list goes on. Both nights my husband had to work late so everyone had dinner had different times. On nights like this the Crockpot is a MUST. I spend a lot of time on Pinterest searching for the absolute best recipes and I must say that I have found an AMAZING food blog. You guys have to be sure to check her out! I have made many of her recipes (I’ll be sure to share my favorites with you) and everything has been wonderful.
Even if you are not a fan of Asian inspired food you need to try this recipe. It is so good! It is really easy to make too. I start by browning the chicken and chopping veggies. Throw everything into the Crockpot and cook on low for 3-4 hours. I use store bought Teriyaki sauce but I’m sure if you make hers it will be even better.
Coming home to this dinner made yesterday a little better. Yes, it is that good. And today Trae is having it for lunch. Below is the link to the recipe.
If you can’t tell already this is a family favorite so I’m sure you will love it. Are you looking for specific type of recipes? Breakfast, healthy or quick and easy? Let me know in the comments below so I can share what I have or be on the lookout for the best of the best.
