One of my current lifestyle goals is to create a healthy routine that is sustainable.
As you can see in the work at home schedule, my days can get busy quick. One way I like to keep it simple and healthy is by having a protein shake for lunch.
I shared on Instagram my latest recipe. So many of you wanted the recipe that I decided to share it here.
The protein powder I’m using right now is from Isogenix. You can read my review here on their products if you are interested. I have friends who are very satisfied with other brands so just use whatever works for you. Just watch out for artificial sweeteners!
I’m usually a strict recipe follower. However, protein shakes are so easy to adjust and make with whatever you have on hand that I’ve been experimenting lately.
Here’s my go to right now:
Blueberry Banana Protein Smoothie
2 Scoops Creamy French Vanilla Protein Powder
8 oz cold water
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup ice
Blend well. Enjoy immediately.
I’ve also tried a chocolate protein shake with peanut butter and banana. I think I used too much peanut butter and wasn’t crazy about this combination. I’ll be working on that recipe though and let you know when I have it perfected.
